Saskatoon Office Move

Phase 1 of our Expanding for Your Benefit! project is complete and we’re excited to be moving into our new space the weekend of August 8-10.

This first phase of the project involved the construction of a 3-story expansion to the north of the existing office building at 516 Second Avenue North in Saskatoon. “The addition of nearly 40,000 sq. ft. will allow for an excellent member experience and the best possible work environment for employees,” says Arnie Arnott, President & CEO of Saskatchewan Blue Cross.

To accommodate the move, all Saskatchewan Blue Cross offices will be closed on Friday, August 8. We anticipate our online travel purchase, telephone and email services will be unavailable Thursday evening, August 7 through to Monday morning, August 11. Login access will continue for Group Members, Group Administrators, Group Advisors and Health Providers.

“We are doing our best to minimize the customer service disruptions of the move and will appreciate your continued patience throughout,” says David Patola, VP Finance & Administration.

Phase 2 of the project is an extensive renovation of our existing building, which will begin immediately. Effective Monday, August 11 our Front Reception/Customer Service area will temporarily be located just steps down the street at 450 Second Avenue North (take the elevator to second floor). Signage will be in place to direct our members. During the renovations the drop box will not be available for after-hours claims submission.

“We anticipate a Phase 2 completion date in early spring 2015,” said Arnott. Reception/Customer Service will be back in its usual location, and Saskatoon staff at temporary locations will move into our new home. “We take great pride in being able to meet face-to-face with our customers. With this significant expansion, we will be well positioned to continue the high level of service our customers deserve and have come to expect from us.”
